Senior Data Processor
To strengthen the Survey Team offshore, we are currently looking for Senior Data Processor (s) to join our team.
The Senior Data Processor is a member of the Offshore Processing Team and is responsible for processing and presentation of survey data, to secure all data being processed and presented in accordance with the requirements given for the specific project. The Senior Data Processor is also responsible for survey data security, including back-up routines.
Duties and responsibilities
- Supervise the Data Processing Team and all the processing work carried out.
- Be familiar with all DeepOcean software packages for data processing and presentation.
- Test and evaluate all software to make sure the processing can be performed in accordance with the requirements.
- Perform Quality control on deliverables.
- Participate in improving processing efficiency and data quality by proposing and implementing new methods and equipment.
- Prepare bug reports or development requests if any software changes are required.
- Supervise data log keeping securing that all data processing is backed up with proper logs.
- Carry out data backups of all survey data, make sure data backups are labelled and transmitted in accordance with applicable procedures.
- Familiarisation, training and mentoring of data processors.
Qualifications
- Degree in a Survey/Science/Engineering oriented subjects.
- Minimum 5 years+ of relevant experience.
- Proficient verbal and written communication in English.
- Strong Eiva experience (NaviEdit + Navimodel).
- Experience with one or several of the following is preferred:
- Pipelines Survey
- Seabed mapping
- Trenching Support
- DelphINS
- Microsoft Office (Word, excel & Access)
- AutoCAD
- GIS applications
