Researcher, effects of public health and social measures for infection control

Would you like to contribute to more and better evidence of the effects of interventions in preparation for future epidemics?

A full-time researcher position is available at the Centre for Epidemic Interventions Research (CEIR), which is placed in the Norwegian Institute of Public Health. Established during the COVID-19 pandemic, CEIR is tasked with generating more and better evidence on the effects of public health and social interventions for infection control, including adverse consequences.

CEIR was recently designated WHO Collaborating Centre for effectiveness research on public health and social measures for health emergencies, and works with other researchers, institutions, organisations, and stakeholders both nationally and internationally.

We are looking for a new colleague with experience in interventions research and in implementing infection control measures, who can take key roles in planning and conducting studies on the effects of public health and social measures (PHSM) for infection control, including adverse consequences – in Norway and globally. This includes developing protocols for trials in collaboration with WHO and other international partners.

For more information about the centre and our research aims, see https://www.fhi.no/ceir
