About the position

A post-doctoral fellowship is available with the Global Health Politics research group at the at the University of Oslo’s Centre for Development and the Environment (from June 2025, the Centre for Global Sustainability).

We welcome proposals for research that align closely with either or both of two externally funded projects that are starting in mid-2025. These are the Norwegian Research Council-funded project “Pandemic Funds, Public Goods for Health and the Future of Global Health Financing” (PANDFUND), and “Mega-philanthropy and democratic governance” (PHILOS) funded by the University of Oslo’s research initiative UiO:Democracy.

Projects can focus on the influence of private-sector actors within global health governance and policy, notably the transnational role of private philanthropic foundations and public-private partnerships. Proposals that foreground issues related to the management of potential conflicts of interest, transparency, and accountability in the relationship between public and private actors are particularly welcome. We welcome projects focused on national, regional and global policy arenas.
