The Opportunity:

We are currently seeking dedicated European Personal Care Assistants to work on a permanent basis. This is an exceptional opportunity ideal for students abroad who wants a gapyear and is especially suitable for individuals in the age group of 20 to 35.

Compensation:

• Salary ranges from 218 to 338 NOK per hour depending on shift (day, evening, night, etc.)
• Workplace: Ålesund, Norway
• The employer covers travel to norway at the beginning of contract, and housing for the first month of contract. Food and private expenses are not covered

Responsibilities:

• Providing direct care and assistance to a cognitively competent male user
• Availability to work both day and night shifts in rotation
• Adherence to high-quality service standards in line with the Independent Living ideology

Qualifications:

• Physical fitness
• Open-mindedness and adaptability
• English proficiency at a B2 level or higher is required
• Interest or expertise in mindfulness, yoga, and a holistic view of human well-being is encouraged
• No fear of flying or water
• A positive attitude, a solution-oriented mindset, and a high sense of humour are highly valued
• A clean criminal record and work authorization within the EEA are mandatory
• Completed COVID-19 vaccination program is recommended
• Candidates may also be asked to provide a negative MRSA test, in compliance with current Norwegian regulations

Special Consideration:

We strongly prefer that applicants apply in pairs. This enables us to ensure 24/7 support, with one assistant working day shifts and the other covering night shifts. On rotation.
