OMAKASE CHEF WANTED!

Skigaarden is a big restaurant house located in Hemsedal, Norway. The place itself is surrounded by beautiful mountain scenery. The main season I winter, but the restaurants are still open all year around.

Skigaarden Omakase has 12 seats and serves authentic Omakase sushi with elements of Norwegian flavors and nature. The newly opened restaurant has high ambitions. Skigaarden i Hemsedal

Omakase Skigaarden is seeking a chef with experience in fine dining and with an understanding of Japanese cuisine.

Qualifications:

– Experience as a sushi chef and/or in Japanese cuisine.

– Experience in fine dining.

– Strong knife skills and experience working in a professional kitchen.

– High knowledge of hygiene and food safety.

– Ability to work cleanly, quickly, and efficiently in front of customers.

– Positive and polite attitude.

– Good communication skills in English.

Responsibilities:

– Preparation of omakase sushi according to Omakase Skigaarden’s standards.

– Ensure that dishes maintain high quality and are presented in the proper Japanese manner.

– Maintain high hygiene standards in both the restaurant and the production kitchen.

– Contribute to menu creation and experimentation with new dishes and menus.

– Collaborate with other departments at Skigaarden regarding orders and stock flow.
