About the Role
Are you detail-oriented, passionate about numbers, and ready to ensure financial accuracy in a fast-growing tech company? As a Financial Operations Specialist at Current, you will play a crucial role in managing our financial operations, ensuring smooth and efficient processes, and supporting accurate financial reporting. You will work closely with our Finance team to maintain accurate financial records, manage day-to-day accounting tasks, and contribute to financial strategy through insightful reporting.
This role involves managing core accounting functions, from maintaining ledgers and processing invoices to overseeing accounts payable and receivable. If you’re a finance professional who thrives in a dynamic environment and enjoys streamlining financial processes, this position is perfect for you.
Key Responsibilities
Your responsibilities will be tailored to your experience and strengths, with guidance and mentorship provided by the CFO.

Financial Recordkeeping: Maintain the company’s general ledger by recording financial transactions, including journal entries, and performing month-end and year-end reconciliations.

Accounts Payable and Receivable: Oversee invoicing, vendor payments, and collections. Ensure timely follow-up on outstanding receivables and manage supplier accounts to maintain smooth cash flow.

Bank Reconciliation: Reconcile company bank accounts and ensure the accuracy of cash flow records, investigating any discrepancies and ensuring financial transactions are accurately recorded.

Financial Statements: Assist in preparing accurate and timely financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, to support decision-making and ensure compliance with legal and financial regulations.

Audit Support: Collaborate with external auditors to ensure successful completion of audits, providing necessary documentation and addressing any queries or issues.

Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist the finance team in preparing annual budgets, tracking variances, and supporting financial forecasting processes to ensure financial goals are met.

Process Improvement: Continuously seek ways to improve financial processes, enhance efficiency, and ensure the accuracy of financial reporting.
Profile
-
You’re highly analytical and detail-oriented, with a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

You have 1-3 years of experience in a finance or accounting role, with a strong understanding of financial reporting, accounts payable/receivable, and reconciliations.

You’re proficient in accounting software and advanced Excel. Experience with ERP systems is a plus.

Strong communication skills in written English, and spoken Norwegian is preferred.

You’re proactive, organized, and eager to contribute to a growing team by streamlining accounting processes and ensuring financial accuracy.
