Frontend developer (Student)

We are looking for a Frontend developer student to join our tech team in Oslo in a part-time position. If you are interested in applying your university skills to practice and have a genuine interest in peeking into the future of energy and carbon markets, this is for you

At Veyt we have the world's leading experts on the carbon and renewable energy certificate markets and closely follow the value chains end to end. As an independent market intelligence provider our vision is to empower decision makers towards a net zero world.

Using data and predictive analytics to forecast supply and demand, prices, and market developments we help clients make more informed decisions. Our end-to-end coverage of these markets is of value to clients within multiple sectors, including energy producers, traders and brokers, investors, financial analysts and globally active manufacturing sectors. You will have the opportunity to make a significant difference for all our clients.

If you have an eye for design, interest in in modern web development tools, understand good user experiences, and can proficiently implement on a frontend stack then we’d love to hear from you.

What you will do

As a frontend developer student at Veyt, you will work on your own project and will contribute significantly to our products. You work closely with our experienced tech team to create and shape our products and platform.

We offer our students a high degree of flexibility, accounting for your university schedule – you can organize your working hours independently.

We think that you:

• Might know frameworks such as Svelte or Vue.
• Like solving problems by writing simple and understandable code.
• Can work both independently and together with the rest of our team.
• Assist developers and analysts in conceptualizing and validating solutions that meet business requirements.
• Prototype new requirements for the purpose of enhancing technical functionalities and information process flow.

We would love it if you had:

• Hands-on experience with TypeScript
• Hands-on experience with Tailwind CSS and interest in CSS/HTML, including responsive design, flex, grid, transitions, etc.
• Understanding of current UI/UX best practices and ability to implement them in designs.
• A keen eye for detail regarding web interfaces and user experience.
• Nice to have or willing to learn ShadCN (Component library)
