About the position
The Department for Study Administration will employ 1 student in part-time positions to work alongside academic staff at the University of Oslo on the project Hybrid Circle U.
About Circle U
Circle U. is a research-intensive and interdisciplinary alliance working to provide outstanding education, research and innovation to contribute to more sustainable, democratic and healthier societies. About Student Fellows
As a Student Fellow, you are hired as a project assistant in a 20% position and become part of Circle U. team at the University of Oslo. In this role as student fellow, you will collaborate with staff at UiO’s Center for Learning, Innovation and Academic Development who will act as your supervisors. Working hours will be determined in consultation with your supervisors, and there is room for flexible working hours.
Work tasks
The project «Hybrid Circle U»will focus on various ways to enable effective teaching and interaction in educational settings where part of the student group participates physically and others participate digitally. The project is led by Humboldt University in Berlin and includes participants from the University of Oslo, the University of Vienna, Aarhus University, King's College London, and UCLouvain. It is anchored in the Circle Us Teaching and Innovation Lab (CU.til) and targets, among others, educators associated with Circle Us' four knowledge hubs for Global Health, Climate, Democracy, and Artificial Intelligence. The project starts in January 2025 and will last throughout the year.
The goals of the project are to:
- Explore the potential benefits of hybrid teaching concerning inclusive, flexible, and international education.
- Support the implementation of high-quality hybrid teaching across Circle U.
- Contribute to collaboration and knowledge exchange between Centers of Teaching and Learning at the various Circle U universities.
As a Student Fellow in this project, you will, among other things:
- Collect and systematize both students' (your own and others') and educators' experiences with hybrid teaching.
- Develop guides on how educators can design various hybrid teaching sessions.
- Plan and organize workshops aimed at assisting educators in designing hybrid teaching sessions.
- Disseminate the project results in various forums and channels.
Several partner universities in this project will also attempt to employ Student Fellows, and we aim for these Fellows to collaborate on various activities.
We are looking for you who
- Are a student at the University of Oslo.
- Communicates well in both written and spoken Norwegian and English.
- Have a special interest in or other qualifications relevant to the project.

- Salary in position as consultant/position code 1065, in salary range NOK 418 500 per year in 20% position over a 12 months period. From the salary, 2 percent is deducted in statutory contributions to the State Pension Fund.
