Chef at Hardangerviddahallen Restaurant
Can you imagine a future for you – and possibly your family in Eidfjord – an important part of the tourist destination Hardangerfjord/Norway?
We are looking for a chef working in the summer season, starting on 01 of April 2025 until 31. October and gain experience in our restaurant. You have the possibility for a permanent year-round position for the Hardangerviddahallen restaurant from 2025 with payed holiday in the off season.
We are looking for a chef
· You are professionally skilled and can deliver a high-quality culinary experience
· Have pastry experience
· You are interested in local food culture
· You are responsible, outcome-oriented and reliable
· You can work independently as well as in a team
· You are flexible regarding work tasks
· You enjoy a hectic and international working environment
Responsibilities:
· Manage the restaurant with the head chef
· Good teamwork with other departments in the center
· Work according to IK mat/HACCP routines
Qualifications:
· Education/diploma as a chef
· Experience from similar work
· Time and cost oriented
· Speak English and/or Norwegian

Norwegian Nature Centre is a modern experience centre for Norwegian nature, climate and environment and the most visited human created attraction in the area. The centre is also a visiting centre for the Hardangervidda National Park. In addition to the Nature Centre, we are also running Hardangerviddahallen restaurant and a gift shop. Norwegian Nature Centre is located in Øvre Eidfjord along the Norwegian scenic route Rv7 close to Hardangerfjord, Måbødal and Vøringsfossen. Norwegian Nature Centre's season is from the 01. April to 31. October, with daily opening hours from 10 am to 6 pm. Hardangerviddahallen Restaurant is a modern restaurant and cafe where up to 200 guests can enjoy Norwegian food traditions combined with modern cuisine. The restaurant offers À la carte menu, buffet, group menu, and event menu. The kitchen is operating with one head chef and two chefs in the season. |
