Sustainability Analyst/ Specialist

Duties and responsibilities
The Sustainability Analyst (or Specialist, depending on the applicant’s qualifications) will be a vital member of a highly competent global sustainability team and will interact with other team members across departments and geographies. This role is a central component for driving and documenting credible, science-based improvements across the entire value chain and for all environmental impacts. Responsibilities include supporting global sustainability strategies, monitoring data and metrics, assisting in sustainability communication, and overseeing data collection, quality assurance, and conducting environmental impact assessments.
Using tools such as Life Cycle Assessment (LCA), we are seeking a sustainability analyst or specialist to lead environmental impact assessments for raw materials, feed products and customers. In addition, we would like this team member to be a trusted technical expert that can ensure adherence to leading LCA standards, guidelines and research developments. We would also like this team member to lead projects on areas such as biodiversity protection and regenerative agriculture within BioMar’s supply chain.
Qualifications
- Preferably a Master’s Degree in sustainability science, Industrial Ecology or similar
- Experience and expertise within Life Cycle Assessment and other sustainability tools, such as Material Flow Analysis (MFA) and Circular Economy Principles
- Knowledge of the product environmental footprint (PEF) guidelines and other carbon accounting standards (GHG protocol, SBTi, etc.) is a positive
- Experience with LCA software, such as SimaPro or others
- Knowledge of biodiversity and agriculture a plus
