Supplier Quality Engineer
Introduction to the job:
We are seeking for a Supplier Quality Engineer that can support our projects in planning and execution of quality risk mitigation activities with special focus on piping, plastic, welding, forging and tubing products and has experience from Subsea Projects.
Job Description
- In the role of Supplier Quality Engineer your main tasks will be:
- Collaborate in planning of Quality Surveillance activities for the project to ensure that suppliers meet the requirements
- Participate in Package Criticality Assessments and Supplier Risk Assessments
- Be responsible for preparing the Quality Surveillance plans
- Participate in Pre-Production Meetings, weekly meetings with project team and other stakeholders
- Manage the suppliers intervention activities, review and follow up inspection and test plans in accordance with the project QS plan
- Responsible for follow up Supplier NCRs, RCCAs, status reporting of supplier performance and lessons learned
- Interacts with SQEs on Corrective Actions and preventive development of the suppliers to mitigate risk to the Project
- Review Inspection reports and ensure that they are stored and followed up.
- Participating in defining the content of the SMDR to ensure that each product will get the correct documents / procedures / reports that will cover the manufacturing process
- Support QHSE onsite activities through QCS/SQ function where needed
- Participate in suppliers’ performance assessment
- The Supplier Quality Control and Surveillance Engineer will be reporting to the Supplier Quality Manager and be part of European Supplier Quality Team
- The position will be remunerational in accordance with TechnipFMC position grading system which is competitive with the marked
- The position is located in the TechnipFMC Lysaker office, but travelling (estimated 25%) will be required within Norway and Europe for Surveillance activities towards Suppliers
You are meant for this job if:
- A Bachelor’s Degree or similar required
- Minimum 3 years experience in Quality, Engineering, Supplier Development, Supplier Quality and/or Project Management
- Experience with auditing of Quality and HSE Management Systems
- Additional experience in Supply Chain management, Lean Manufacturing, Process Improvement is desired
- Work experience can compensate for lack of formal competency
- Excellent level of spoken and written English and Norwegian
- Good collaboration skills and an ability to work independently and systematically
- Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple, and often conflicting priorities is critical
- Problem solving skills related to functional area, understanding business impact on overall business
- Must have demonstrated performance as a change agent with leadership and project management skills
- Strong presentation and communication skills at all organizational levels
- Experience with ERP and MRP systems is preferred
- Candidates must be able to legally work and reside in Norway, without sponsorship
