What You Need to Know
As a Software Test Engineer at Proserv, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our embedded systems. Collaborating with a dedicated team of hardware, firmware, and software engineers, you will support the development process from concept to final product, enhancing performance and delivering robust solutions for the energy sector.
What we are looking for:
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, execute, and maintain test plans and test cases for subsea control system software
- Create automated test scripts in Python (using Pytest) to streamline testing processes
- Debug and troubleshoot embedded systems issues to identify root causes and resolutions
- Integrate testing activities with continuous integration (CI/CD) pipelines
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to refine testing methodologies and tools
- Provide clear and detailed test reports to drive product quality improvements
About You
Whether you are a recent graduate or have professional experience in software testing or embedded development, we are looking for someone who is eager to learn, proactive, and capable of collaborating effectively with our engineering team. Most importantly, you should have a desire to grow your expertise and work as part of a team.
We are looking for candidates with a Bachelor's or Master’s degree in computer science, cybernetics, embedded systems, or equivalent practical experience. Additionally, we value skills and experience in:
- A basic understanding of software testing methodologies, embedded development principles and debugging tools
- Experience with scripting languages such as Python
- Familiarity with embedded systems, communication protocols, electronic hardware concepts and electronics circuit development
- Knowledge of version control systems like Git and continuous integration pipelines
- Experience with electronic lab equipment and instrumentation
- Professional proficiency in English, both written and verbal
