Senior Surveyor
The Senior Surveyor is a member of the Offshore Survey Team and is responsible for performing the surveys in accordance with DeepOcean and Customer specifications in an efficient manner. The senior surveyor is the Leader the offshore survey team including subcontractors and responsible for organising the survey team to ensure the most efficient work execution.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead the Survey team offshore.
- Responsible for the overall Survey operation.
- Ensuring that all operational departments perform their duties in accordance with project’s requirements.
- Ensure that necessary Toolbox Talks are held throughout the operation. Record these according to the worksite specific standard.
- Write task plans discussing different survey tasks requirements and the responsibility of everyone in the survey team.
- Have detailed knowledge of the online software, set-ups and use of equipment; have a general overview of offline software and methods.
- Take initiatives to improve survey efficiency and data quality by proposing and implementing new equipment and methods.
- Write/compile final survey results report.
- Ensure that all survey work, included acquisition, processing and reporting, is performed in accordance with customer and DeepOcean’s specifications.
- Familiarization, training and mentoring of offshore surveyors.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Relevant Master or Bachelor degree.
- Minimum 7 years+ of relevant experience.
- Proficient verbal and written communication in English.
- Strong Eiva experience (Navipac+Naviscan).
- Experience with one or several of the following is preferred:
- Pipelines Survey.
- Seabed mapping.
- MBES, Pipetracker, INS system.
- LBL.
- Reports Coordination
