Senior Geologist Offshore
As a Senior Geologist, you will be a member of the Offshore Survey Team and will participate in interpretation and reporting of all acoustic sensor data, side scan sonar and sub-bottom profiler. Together with a Senior Surveyor you will be responsible for preparing written reports, survey results from video review and acoustic data interpretation.
Duties and Responsibilites
- Lead the Geo team offshore
- Familiar with applicable parts of DeepOcean HSEQ system and project specific procedures
- Familiar with all DeepOcean software packages for eventing/video review and for interpretation of acoustic data
- Initiatives to improve reporting efficiency and data quality
- Test and evaluate new software
- Prepare and Quality check required digital data deliveries
- Responsible for final reporting
- Familiarisation, training and mentoring of offshore Geos
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor or Master degree in a geoscience subject
- Minimum 5 years relevant industry experience in a similar role
- Good understanding of Survey operations and deliverables
- Good working knowledge of Geo related softwares
