Senior Buyer

Vianode is seeking an engaged and proactive Senior Buyer to join our global team Supply Chain Management & Procurement. This role will ensure that all purchasing activities in Kristiansand are managed according to Vianode procurement processes, with approved suppliers, and at the lowest total cost.

We are looking for a candidate who can start as soon as possible, with applications reviewed continuously until the right individual is selected.

Vianode is an advanced battery materials company providing sustainable anode graphite solutions for the battery and EV value chains in North America and Europe. Vianode’s breakthrough solution enables tailored high-performance synthetic anode graphite and a holistic sustainability offering including a 90% reduction in CO2 footprint. The company has opened its first full-scale plant at Herøya, Norway, called Via One, before executing its multi-billion dollar phased investment program for large-scale plants in North America and Europe. The long-term ambition is to supply advanced battery materials to three million EVs per year by 2030.

In this role, you will provide critical support to the Supply Chain team, reporting directly to the Team Lead Procurement. The position is located at our plant/Technology Center at Fiskå in Kristiansand.

Main responsibilities:

• handling all purchasing needs in Kristiansand, covering the Pilot Plant, the Process and Technology department, and the R&D department

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Engineering, Business, or related field, or equivalent

• +5 years operational experience in procurement, sourcing, and/or supply chain management (buying, vendor management, supplier evaluation, category management)
• Technical/mechanical purchasing background is preferable.
• 8-10 years of relevant vocational training can be considered to replace formal education.
• Ability to understand the framework of Process Industry, its Operations and Maintenance direction and provide focused supply chain solutions accordingly.
• Exceptional commercial, analytical, and people skills and committed to adding value and supporting our growth ambitions.
• Proficient at negotiating commercial terms.

• Proficiency in English and a Scandinavian language.

The ideal candidate can work independently, take initiative, and has an initiative-taking, problem-solving attitude with a high level of integrity. You should be able to see the big picture while also paying attention to details and show the ability to communicate effectively at all levels within the organisation.
