Product Engineer – SeaQ Bridge

As we continue to grow, we are looking for a talented and motivated Product Engineer to join our team.

As a Product Engineer you will play a critical role in the development, design, and optimization of SeaQ Integrated Bridge System. You will collaborate closely different teams, including R&D, project, production, and end-customer to ensure that our product meet the highest standard of quality, functionality, and user experience. Your technical expertise and problem-solving skills will be crucial in driving product innovation forward.

Duties and responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the product manager and stakeholders to develop and refine product concepts, ensuring they meet customer needs and business objectives.
  • Conduct testing and validation of product to ensure they meet expected criteria
  • Cooperate with delivery team to optimize delivery processes, improve efficiency, and resolve any technical issues that might during that phase.
  • Identify opportunities for product improvements and cost reductions, and implement changes as needed.
  • Provide technical support to project and sales team, assist in troubleshooting and resolving product-related issues.
  • Participate in the approval process of the product with classifications societies.
  • Maintain detailed documentation of product designs, specifications, and test results. 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree within electro / electronics / automation / computer science. Newly graduated are encouraged to apply.
  • Relevant work experience can compensate for formal education
  • Certificate in electro / electronics is an advantage.
  • Experience in product engineering, preferably in maritime industry.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Familiar with Autocad, Wago PLC, computer networking, general computer and electrical hardware. Some knowledge in Java, JavaScript and C++ is an advantage but not a requirement.
  • Knowledge in marine navigation and communication equipment is an advantage
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills – Norwegian and English.
  • A passion for innovation and a drive to create product that makes a difference.
