A 100% post-doc position is available for MD’s or PhD’s in biomedical data science or biostatistics.
The Clinical Effectiveness Research group is a world-leading, research group with expertise in clinical and epidemiological research. We run large trials and observational studies in clinical medicine, cancer screening, and clinical epidemiology with altogether over 300,000 patients. The group has collaboration with leading research environments in Europe, North America, and Asia.

The position is sponsored by the Norwegian Ministry of Education and Research through the national mechanism for recruitment of excellent researchers towards an academic tenure track.
The duration of appointment is 3 years.
Your main tasks will be
The position aims at further strengthening the innovative, and dynamic environment at the Clinical Effectiveness Research group. The position holder will participate in research projects that are conducted by the group, including planning of new studies, data collection, data analyses and publication, and will contribute with own ideas and plans for clinical trials and epidemiology studies.
Qualifications
Applicants should hold an MD degree in medicine, and/or a PhD in biomedical data science or biostatistics and have experience in design, conduct and analysis of clinical trials and epidemiology in medicine. The ideal candidate is innovative and independent, has good communicative skills, and is a team player. Position holders are required to speak English. The University of Oslo offers Norwegian language courses for employees, and we expect the position holder to participate and learn Norwegian. Latest start date is Oct 1st, 2025.
Good written and oral proficiency in English and Norwegian (or another Scandinavian language). If the employee cannot document skills in Norwegian, Swedish, or Danish at level A2 upon employment, UiO will offer Norwegian language training. The employee must complete training equivalent to at least 15 credits by the end of the employment period.
Employment in the position is based on a comprehensive assessment of all qualification requirements applicable to the position, iincluding personal qualifications.
