Optime Subsea is looking for a QHSE Engineer
Optime Subsea is seeking an experienced QHSE Engineer to ensure our success by managing the Quality, Health, Safety, and Environmental work in projects. In this role, you will be accountable for maintaining compliance with industry standards, enhancing safety measures, and driving continuous improvement throughout all project phases.
About the Role
As a QHSE Engineer, you will lead all QHSE activities within projects by working closely with cross-functional teams and ensuring compliance from the tendering stage of projects through final delivery. You will play the role in managing our quality, safety, and environmental practices over the entire project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities:
- Setting the right requirements in the early stages of projects, by working closely with Sales.
- Creating and overseeing Quality, Health & Safety, Environmental, and Risk Management plans specific to each project, ensuring compliance with client, industry, and Optime’s own requirements.
- Developing, and ensuring the fulfillment of inspection and test plans throughout the engineering, manufacturing, and testing phases of project execution, including establishing accurate QHSE documents and records for product lifecycle reporting.
- Proactively identifying risks that could impact project success and implementing strategies effective to mitigate them, to ensure that projects remain on track and objectives are achieved.
- Supporting internal and external audits to ensure adherence to Optime's business management system and project requirements.
- Investigating deviations and resolving non-conformances to correct products and drive process improvements.
Key requirements:
- Bachelor (or similar) in Engineering, Quality Management, or a QHSE-related discipline. Relevant experience may be a substitute for formal education.
- QHSE experience is preferable, ideally in project-driven environments within the subsea oil and gas industry.
- Familiarity with risk management and quality assurance methodologies in complex engineering or manufacturing projects.
- Good communication skills and competence in both writing and speaking Norwegian and English.
