Optime Subsea is looking for a QA Manager
Optime Subsea is seeking a skilled QA Manager to strengthen our QHSE team by driving quality assurance initiatives and ensuring compliance with internal and external quality standards. You will play a crucial role in maintaining and enhancing the company’s quality management systems (QMS).
About the Role
The role will be accountable for implementing and improving the Quality Management System (QMS) through a clear, process-based approach and use of software platforms, tools, and workflows. This will ensure the use of quality practices and will support Optime’s vision and mission while driving improvement and efficiency across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintaining and improving Optime Subsea’s Quality Management System (QMS), to ensure compliance with ISO9001 and other relevant standards.
- Monitoring and verifying quality performance by conducting internal audits, analyzing results, and implementing corrective actions to enhance quality.
- Assuring the evaluation and assessment of suppliers to ensure that the materials and services they provide continuously meet quality standards.
- Conducting training programs to ensure that teams consistently follow quality policies and best practices.
- Maintaining quality management documentation, driving improvement initiatives, and identifying opportunities for process enhancements.
- Leading continuous improvement efforts by managing the resolution of non-conformance issues, promoting quality standards, and aligning processes with organizational goals.
Key Requirements
- Bachelor (or equivalent) in Quality Management, Engineering, or a related discipline. Relevant experience may be a substitute for formal education.
- Proven experience in quality assurance roles within engineering, manufacturing, or project-driven industries.
- Strong understanding of ISO 9001, the process approach, risk-based thinking, or similar quality management disciplines and standards.
- Experience in audit processes, including internal, external, and supplier audits.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, both in Norwegian and English.
