Online Surveyor
The Online Surveyor is a member of the Offshore Survey Team and is responsible for data collection and that the survey is performed according to the instructions received and existing procedures.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ensure that all work performed are in accordance with internal and external applicable HSEQ system.
- Check that the online software and equipment is operational and prepared for the up-coming survey tasks.
- Participate in all calibration work as applicable for each work task.
- Prepare, maintain and file online logs.
- Ensure that the ROV and Bridge Crew understand the work task.
- Ensure that ROV, Bridge and Deck Crew are aware of the preparations, which has to be performed to ensure an efficient operation (Sensors on ROV etc).
- Operate the data logging system and make sure all relevant survey data are logged as required.
- Operate the navigation computer, and distribute relevant information on the graphic display to bridge and ROV.
- Monitor navigation and survey equipment, ensure all sensors and survey equipment are fully operational.
- Monitor data quality.
- Deployment and operation of transponders, water level recorders, CTD profiler etc.
- Prepare upcoming work tasks.
- All internal and external (contractual) requirements for applicable projects, related to the data acquisition.
- In accordance with the ordinances of the Company, the Online Surveyor to inform Senior Surveyor about technical deviations and problems.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Relevant Master or Bachelor degree.
- Minimum 3 years+ of relevant experience.
- Proficient verbal and written communication in English.
- Strong Eiva experience (Navipac+Naviscan).
- Experience with one or several of the following is preferred:
- Pipelines Survey.
- Seabed mapping.
- MBES, Pipetracker, INS system.
