Looking for a chef for a A family-run hotel – focus on seafood

A hotel in Norway is looking for an a la carte chef.

Everything from breakfast and light lunches to delicious a la carte dishes with a focus on seafood what the local fishermen have caught at any given time.

They take pride in maintaining the highest possible quality, using local produce, wild fish, game meat, and locally grown vegetables.

Seafood is naturally their specialty. Plates rich with crab, crayfish, scallops, mussels, shrimp, and fish, depending on what is in season. Freshly baked bread every morning. Locally grown berries for dessert.

Requirements

Minimum 4 years of experience in an à la carte kitchen

Knowledge of seafood is a must: crab, crayfish, scallops, mussels, shrimp, and fish, depending on what is in season

Familiarity with HACCP guidelines

Proficiency in English

Excellent communication skills

Solution-oriented mindset

Ability to work both independently and as part of a team

Working period: ASAP – 01.09.2024

Accommodation: 630.83 NOK/month Staff accommodation is organized. You will have your own room with a shared kitchen and bathroom.

Food: All employees have meals when they are on duty. Cold food, bread, is available all the time. Hot meal from 16:00-18:00 on working day

Salary: 250.00 – 260.00 NOK/h

Average working hours is 162.00 / month

The approximate salary with normal hours is 260.00 * 162 * 12.00% = 47174.40 NOK before taxes (~25.00)

Salary additions

Sunday addition 29.74 NOK/Hour

Overtime addition 50.00 %

Saturday addition 29.74 NOK/Hour

Vacation addition 12.00 %

Night time addition 54.76 NOK/Hour

Evening time addition 15.65 NOK/Hour

National holiday addition 100.00 %

Overtime and vacation money will be paid at the end of the contract.
