We are looking for chefs to fill a variety of outlets, we have 6F&B outlets active during the summer season. With a wide style of service, we have an outdoor seafood restaurant, bakery, a la carte evening restaurant, buffets style lunches, cafeteria grab-and-go, viking style cafe and privat dining

Starting date will be discussed individually, based on department needs and your availability.

Requirements

· A good command of English.

· Good teamwork and communication skills

· Prior experience in a relevant field

· Permission to work within EU or EEA

· Not mandatory: The ability to use a Scandinavian language is a large plus (but we also need; Spanish, French and German)

Arbeidsoppgaver

We are looking for both specialized and all-round chefs. Some of our chefs rotate around, while others specialize in their department. Typical task will include, but not limited to:

  • Receiving, checking and storing of deliveries.

  • Sorting, cleaning and tracking items in fridge, freezer and dry goods storages.

  • Food and workstation prep.

  • Breakfast, lunch, dinner and group service.

  • Ensure continuous equal and high quality of service at all time.

  • Cleaning of workstations and kitchens.

Gudvangen Fjordtell is family-owned business set in the scenic Nærøyfjord, one of only two UNESCO fjords in the world. Our facilities include 160 beds spread between Viking rooms, standard rooms, apartments and a budget hotel. We operate 6 restaurants during the summer season, including catering, buffets and events. Set in one of the major tourism arteries of Norway, Gudvangen is a busy connection point between Bergen, oslo, voss and flåm. Sharing the narrow valley with us is the world-famous Viking village Njardarheimr, a kayaking center, a busy ferry port and two camping sites.
