Aurora Guide and Photographer for the Winter Season

Location: Tromsø, Norway.

Type of position: Seasonal (winter season)

Training in September, October

What You'll Do:

  • Guiding small groups of up to 8 guests on northern lights tours in winter season
  • Driving a 4×4 tour van while navigating through challenging weather conditions, including snowstorms and icy roads.
  • Creating a warm, inviting camp environment with fire, serving food & drinks, ensuring guest safety, and fostering a friendly group dynamic.
  • You will capture the magic of the Northern Lights, wildlife, and landscapes through photography. Taking portraits of the guests with the Aurora in the background. Then edit and share these pictures with our guests.
  • Sharing your knowledge of the Aurora and the local Tromsø region, providing guests with a rich, learning experience.

We're Looking For Someone Who:

  • Is passionate or interested in an outdoor lifestyle and has photography skills (experience with Lightroom or other photo editing software is a plus).
  • Is fluent in English and possesses excellent communication and social skills. (Proficiency in Spanish and French is also highly appreciated!)
  • Is highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing time effectively.
  • Able to thrive in a high-energy environment.
  • You enjoy a dynamic work environment, are eager to meet new people, and share your experiences.
  • Have a strong work ethic, take initiative, and are self-motivated and passionate about your work.

The Requirements:

  • Photography skills and knowledge
  • Holds a valid driving license and basic mechanical knowledge (e.g., tire changes).
  • Has the Kjøreseddel permit. (We can help you get this)
  • Flexible, with the ability to follow guidelines and adapt as needed.
  • Passion or interest in an outdoor lifestyle
