Join the Seatex division in Kongsberg Discovery as a Product Advisor. Kongsberg Discovery is a global marine technology company providing innovative and reliable solutions. In the Seatex division, we develop world leading products for accurate positioning, beamforming radar and radio communication systems, motion measurement, satellite payloads and situational awareness for ocean space applications. Our office is located at Pirsenteret in Trondheim where we have exceptional facilities for product development with GNSS, RF/Microwave labs, EMC test lab, high-end instruments and a strong professional group of coworkers that welcomes you.
What you will be working on
As a Product Advisor you will play a key role in the management of our diverse portfolio of products throughout their life cycle. Your responsibilities will vary from supporting innovative initiatives initiated by the product managers, producing documentation, writing technical papers, and following up on technical sales. You will be the go-to expert on our products, seamlessly connecting sales, engineering, customers, and production teams. Our products require continuously updated certifications and associated documentation, which will be a key focus of your role in ensuring compliance and maintaining our license to operate.
You will join the Navigation & Positioning group, which is responsible for all DP reference systems, as well as other products such as Navigational Situational Awareness.
To thrive in this role, you should be proactive, collaborative, responsible, organized and committed to quality. The position offers the opportunity to travel, to conferences, customer visits, and exhibitions. You might occasionally join our operators and customers in the field, gaining firsthand experience and insight.

Responsibilities
- Certification and license to operate
- Advise on, control, and facilitate product documentation
- Assist product management and life cycle support
- DP reference systems subject matter expert
- Test, verification, and validation of product improvements and developments
Qualifications and experience
- A bachelor’s degree or higher.
- Experience from DP / DP reference products is beneficial.
- Experience from complex interconnected systems.
- Fluent in both spoken and written English. Fluency in spoken and written Norwegian is beneficial.
