Join us as a Field Service Engineer at Kongsberg Maritime here in Trondheim!

As a Field Service Engineer you will have responsibility for installation, service, and maintenance of KONGSBERGs systems on sailing ships/vessels and in shipyards all over the world. In addition, your work will consist of in-house technical support and remote services. One of our key offerings is the fiscal K-Gauge Custody Transfer System (CTS), which is a critical system in LNG and LPG carrier operations.

Key accountabilities

· Installation & commissioning of KONGSBERG’s tank level monitoring systems

· Service, maintenance and upgrade of KONGSBERG’s systems on vessels

· In-office technical support and remote services to customers and colleagues

Qualifications and experience

· Bachelors degree, Y-Veien or equivalent in fields such as the following: electronics, instrumentation, automation or telecommunication. Relevant experience may compensate for lack of education

· Good oral and written communication skills in English and Norwegian/Scandinavian is essential

· Highly motivated for worldwide travel

· Meet the health requirements that apply for offshore work

· Meet the requirements for applying for work visa world-wide

Work location
Trondheim, with worldwide travels. We are located at the Kongsberg building at Grilstad Marina, where we as part of the Automation and Control division have a complete operation consisting of Manufacturing and Warehouse, Project, Product, R&D, and Customer Support. In total, we are approx. 160 employees here.
